Using correct number when carding

I can't go into details and it is not clear to me but I have seen some signs that inputting a phone number different than that of the CC owner can cause the bank to block the card.
Has anyone else noticed this?
Possibly something to do with specific banks and not all.

Yeah most cc sellers sell cards with the holders phone numbers included
